Apparently, I am a Taoist

You fit in with:
Taoism

Your ideals mostly resemble those of the Taoist faith. Spirituality is the most important thing in your life. You strive to live by all of your ideals, and live a very intellectually focused life.

40% spiritual.
20% reason-oriented.

Take this quiz at QuizGalaxy.com

The quiz is simplistic and flawed, but this is properly descriptive of me:

Spirituality is the most important thing in your life. You strive to live by all of your ideals, and live a very intellectually focused life.

Miers withdraws nomination

I am pleased with this turn of events. Hopefully, the President will now choose someone qualified like Sam Alito, Mike Luttig, Janice Brown, Priscilla Owen, or Edith Jones.

Synod of Bishops says firm 'no' to married priests

Hey, if it was good enough for the ecclesiastics of 1123, then it's good enough for the clergy of today!

'Technical virginity' becomes part of teens' equation

My friend Erin posted this article about teen views of oral sex and "virginity" to the Fringe.

Excerpt:

The latest fuss is spurred by new federal data that found that more than half of 15- to 19-year-olds have received or given oral sex. Although the study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention did not ask the particulars of these encounters, research conducted in pre-Clinton times, along with more recent studies, suggests that teens largely fall on the "it's not sex" side.

Kids these days!

Elderly man drives with body in windshield

I heard about this yesterday on the radio. When questioned about the dead body lodged in his windshield, the old man apparently said he thought it had fallen from the sky.

Of course, this brings to mind the man who accidently drove through a farmer's market in Santa Monica a couple of years ago.

Mom delivers 16th child, thinking of more

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (AP) -- Michelle Duggar just delivered her 16th child, and she's already thinking about doing it again.

I know these people mean well, but sixteen children with thoughts of another is beyond absurd.
